Husk Home was established as an Australian boutique provider based on the Sunshine Coast, specialising in wheat straw kitchenware. We offer wholesale, sustainable, lifestyle products which are designed to be a healthier alternative to plastic.

Our purpose and passion stems from our own environmental consciousness to offer healthy and safe alternatives; specialising in wheat straw food preparation products and containers which are safe, and BPA and Phthalate free. These products not only reduce exposure to ingesting harmful chemicals in our everyday life but have minimal impact on our planet, helping to reduce our ecological footprint.

Plastic production has increased faster than that of any other material. Researchers have estimated that more than 8.3 billion tonnes of plastic have been produced since the 1950s with approximately 60% of plastic ending in either landfill or the natural environment. The impact upon our health, environment, waterways, oceans, and marine life is a growing global concern. There is also growing evidence that food can be contaminated by harmful chemicals from certain types of plastic which can cause a host of health problems including cancer.
